In December 2019, The Daily Ding ran a special episode: a media roundtable with Adam Sandler, Kevin Garnett, and the Safdie Brothers around the release of Uncut Gems. Rob was in the room producing, center of the photo in the hat, facing Garnett and Sandler.

In April 2020, with the sports calendar gone and production suddenly remote, network founder and Athletic executive producer Jade Hoye publicly credited Rob with keeping The Athletic NBA and Count The Dings shows running.
